STEAM project preparations begin. Teachers decide if they will be done in class or at home. Each grade level will get a science theme depending on the grade level curriculum. Top three are chosen by teacher and there will be a STEAM fair in March

PTA plans a reading marathon as a fundraiser and to promote reading. Each student will receive a reading log, sponsor sheet and rules packet. This will take place over a span of 3-4 weeks.

Students choose to write a speech or draw a picture in honor of Cesar Chavez. Principal chooses the best ones to submit to the District to enter into a contest. Grade levels have the opportunity to participate in the District Wide March to honor the day

This is an evening for parents especially new parents to come and get ideas on creating poems or their students for Dia del Nino

Teachers open their classrooms to allow parents to come in and read the poems they created to their child. Then the whole school meets on the black top to blow bubbles make a wish and enjoy ice cream all to celebrate Dia del Nino

Students will compete to travel to the National Spanish Spelling bee to compete there. Depending on this year’s organizers this will be voluntary or teachers will hold elimination rounds in their classrooms.
